South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side TS Galaxy have strengthened their squad with the latest signing of Nigerian goalkeeper, Kayode Bankole.
The shot-stopper was announced by the Mpumalanga club on Friday, 17 October 2025 after joining the Rockets on a free transfer.
Bankole has been club-less since August 2025 after cutting ties with Nigeria League champions Remo Stars FC.
Bankole becomes the 16th signing for the Adnan Beganovic-coached side in the current campaign, as the club aims to finish in a better position in the South African top-flight.
Galaxy have been busy in the market, having acquired the services of players like Onke Moletshe, Siyabonga Nguessan, Sedwyn George, Anslin Williams, Matome Mmolai, Mzwandile Dlamini and Veluyeke Zulu. Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi, Hopewell Cele, Junior Zindonga, Mory Keita, Mpumelelo Ndaba, Patrick Fisher, Mehdi Ouamri, and Salatiel Silva complete the list.
Meanwhile, Galaxy welcomed Bankole with open arms and described him as “a true game-changer,” as they believe he will add value to their goalkeeping department.
“Welcome to the family, Kayode Bankole! A commanding presence between the posts and a true game-changer joins our ranks,” said the club in a statement. “We can’t wait to see you showcase your talent and passion on the big stage!”
As things stand, Galaxy are placed seventh on the Betway Premiership log standings with 13 points from eight outings.
The Rockets’ next league assignment will be against Limpopo club Magesi FC on Saturday, 18 October, at Seshego Stadium. This showdown will kick off at 17:30.
