South Africa head coach, Hugo Broos (Pictured), has invited Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabo Moloisane and Stellenbosch FC defender, Sipho Mbule to replace the injured Ime Okon and Patrick Maswanganyi as Bafana Bafana round up preparations for this month’s World Cup qualifiers.
Bafana Bafana take on neighbours Lesotho ‘away’ at the Free State Stadium on Friday, 5 September, and three days later, host Nigeria at the same venue. Both matches kick off at 18h00.
Bafana assembled for camp on Monday, 1 September in Soweto, and had their first training session at Dobsonville Stadium.
South Africa currently top Group C of the African zone World Cup qualifiers with 13 points from six matches. The group winner automatically qualifies to next year’s World Cup to be co-hosted by USA, Canada and Mexico.
