The South African Under20 Men’s National Team reported for camp on Tuesday to continue preparations for the 2025 CAF Under20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Amajita is one of the teams gracing this year’s tournament, which will be held in Côte d’Ivoire from 26 April to 18 May.
Head Coach Raymond Mdaka disclosed that the team will play two friendly matches against Botswana on 22 and 25 March 2025 as part of their preparations.
“We are starting our sessions on the 19th of March. We play two friendly games, one on the 22nd and the other one on the 25th of this month with Botswana,” he said.
“And then we’ll be able to finalize a team that will be preparing for the last camp that will take place some days before we leave for Cote d’Ivoire.”
The top four nations at next month’s AFCON will qualify for the 2025 FIFA Under-20 World Cup to be held in Chile from 27 September to 19 October 2025.
