A CAF Cup-winning coach, Florent Ibenge has come up as a surprise potential as Kaizer Chiefs gun for a new manager to replace the underperforming Arthur Zwane.
Ibenge’s name will cause a headache to Orlando Pirates fans and excitement for Amakhosi supporters. This is because he infamously led RS Berkane to CAF Confederation Cup glory, where they pipped the Bucs in the final.
Ibenge is the latest name to pop up in discussions for the Amakhosi hot a seat.
However, the Amakhosi management are struggling to reach an agreement with the Tanzanian due to his demands. He is insisting pn bringing his entire technical team with him to South Africa.
This is a problem because Amakhosi management’s original plan is to keep Arthur Zwane on board and to have him mentored by a experienced coach.
