South Africa has named a 23-man squad to face Zambia in an international friendly match scheduled for 15 November at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, in Eastern Cape province

The game forms part of Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos’ preparations for the Africa Cup on Nations (AFCON) in Morocco at the end of the year. Kick-off in Gqeberha is at 15h00.

“There are a few new boys, a few others are not there because I know those players. So, I didn’t have to see them. But I took this opportunity in this game against Zambia to call some new players and to see them in training, see how their mentality is and maybe in the future we can count on them,” the Bafana Bafana coach said.

The team assembles in Johannesburg on Monday, 10 November 2025.

THE SQUAD:

GOALKEEPERS
Ronwen Williams, Ricardo Goss, Sipho Chaine

DEFENDERS
Khulumani Ndamane, Thabo Moloisane, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Aubrey Modiba, Khuliso Mudau, Samukelo Kabini, Thabang Matuludi

MIDFIELDERS

FORWARDS
Evidence Makgopa, Oswin Appollis, Tshepang Moremi, Lyle Foster, Mohau Nkota, Sipho Mbule, Keletso Makgalwa.
