Julius Malema, President of South Africa’s opposition party, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), has been invited to address this year’s conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
In a post on X by the NBA President, Afam Osigwe, Malema will deliver the keynote address at the conference scheduled from August 23-30, 2025 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The NBA president urged lawyers to register before the closing date of March 31, 2025 for the conference.
In his words: “Dear colleagues, meet our keynote speaker for the 2025 NBA AGC: Julius Malema @Julius_S_Malema, the President, Economic Freedom Fighters, South Africa. Early bird registration closes March 31st, 2025!”
Malema, 44, is a South African politician, who founded the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), a political party with leftist tendency. Their trade mark red berets and military-style outfits mark them out distinctly.
From 2008 until his expulsion from the party in 2012, Malema was head of the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) . He, thereafter founded EFF.
In 2014, Malema was elected to the National Assembly. His party EFF won 25 seats out of the 400-member parliament.(www.amatropics.com)
