A family of five died during a tragic shack fire incident in Olievenhoutbosch township in Centurion, Pretoria on Friday morning.
The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
However, a member of the community said the deceased includes a mother, her children and grandchildren.
Fire incidents in South Africa’s informal settlements are rife due to bad electrical connections, open flames from candles and various other sources of illumination.
