Nigerian defender, Ayo Oluwafemi says it was glaring that his team, Free Agents FC lacked the experience to handle a big team like Kaizer Chiefs, after the Glamour Boys dispatched the ABC Motsepe side in last Sunday’s Nedbank Cup Round of 32 encounter at FNB Stadium.
Kaizer Chiefs ran out 4-0 winners after a domineering, one-sided performance against 10-man Free Agents.
Oluwafemi, who was not available for the game due to fitness issues, was reacting to the 4-0 bashing suffered by the ABC Motsepe League side.
“There was obviously a wide gap between both teams in terms of experience, and the fact that Chiefs scored early plus the red card to our midfielder, made things more difficult, but in the end it was a good learning curve,” said the former Jomo Cosmos and Zesco United star.
The result saw Kaizer Chiefs securing a place in the next round of the Nedbank Cup, thanks to a first-half brace from Pule Mmodi, as well as second-half goals from Ignacio Miguel and Ranga Chivaviro.
Free Agents midfielder, Saheed Adebayo was sent off in the second half after protesting against Chiefs’ third goal, which appeared to come from the offside position.
