Orbit College from North West province have won promotion to South Africa’s Betway Premiership after beating Cape Town City 1-0 in the final play-off game on Wednesday at Olympia Stadium, Rustenburg.
The Mswenko Boys netted a crucial second-half goal through Letsei Koapeng to realize their dreams.
The result also meant CT City are relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Orbit College came into the clash against CT City looking to collect maximum points to seal promotion to the Premiership.
In their previous match, the North West-based side collected maximum points with a 1-0 victory over Casric Stars at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in Mpumalanga last Saturday. They scored a goal in the 80th minute through Lethabo Modimoeng to put his side in the driving seat in the fight for a place in the top-flight.
Orbit College made it to the playoffs after finishing as runners-up in the Championship, after Durban City FC won the league title to gain automatic promotion.
