The criminal case against Pastor Paseka “Mboro” Motsoeneng and two others is expected to resume Tuesday at the Palm Ridge Regional Court on South Africa’s Gauteng East Rand.
Prophet Mboro, as he is popularly known, is a televangelist and self proclaimed leader of Incredible Happenings Ministries with its main church based in Katlehong, on the East Rand of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Motsoeneng, his son Revival and bodyguard Vincent Baloyi face charges including kidnapping and assault.
The state has indicated that investigations have been concluded and it is now ready for trial.
In a video in August this year, the trio were seen brandishing weapons and allegedly forcefully removing two learners from a school in Katlehong.
During the last court appearance on the 11th of this month, the court did not sit for long and the case was transferred from the Magistrates to the Regional Court for a trial date.
Mboro is out on R3 000 bail while his co-accused have been released on warning.
