BRISD Chairman Qaiser Nawab Participates in High-Level Defence Dialogue in Brussels
Qaiser Nawab, Chairman, Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), on Thursday participated in the exclusive talk and reception titled “Euractiv Defence Pro: Navigating the Future of European Defence”.
The session was hosted by Euractiv at the BELvue Museum in Brussels.
The event brought together senior policymakers, experts, and thought leaders to discuss Europe’s evolving defence strategy in light of emerging geopolitical and security challenges.
During the session, Nawab shared the vision and initiatives of BRISD in advancing sustainable cooperation and dialogue across regions.
He also engaged with Mr. Andrius Kubilius, European Commissioner for Defence and Space and Former Prime Minister of Lithuania, as well as Mr. Robert de Groot, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank, who was also a featured speaker at the event.
Nawab highlighted the importance of linking sustainable development objectives with international peace and security frameworks, emphasizing that regional connectivity and collaborative investments are vital to addressing both climate and defence challenges.
