Captain of the victorious Super Falcons, Rasheedat Ajibade has been crowned Best Player of the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which was concluded in Morocco on Saturday.
The Atletico Madrid star, who led the Super Falcons to a historic 10th continental title, succeeds Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak as winner of the player of the tournament award.
The dynamic winger led by example throughout the competition, playing with heart and skill.
Nigeria’s head coach, Justin Magudu was also named Coach of the Tournament, while Chiamaka Nnadozie claimed the Best Goalkeeper award.
